There is a place called Rosarita

Alon the coast we made our plans

Where mama said if we were heroes

We wouldn’t have to earn it with our backs

So don’t you tell me you are cheerful

God gave us all our brains for that

When you’ve finished playing caballero

Your sitting where the last bandito sat

With strangest conviction

Choose your position

Write it deep within our stars

Out on the reservation tonight

Maybe the saints are in our hearts

Imust have let my ticket

In the thicket where the tourists like to kick it

And the English drink their beer and watch the cricket

I think I left my heart in Rosarita by the seafood taqueria

Where the old man and the boys were playing salsa

Working the service in the dark

Baby the saints re in our hearts

These days life goes by so fast

All we have left are these moments that are ours

Dos Equi and dos huevos

Veritas que linda hoyos

But remember that the a gringo

Esta loco just a little

Why is my frozen Margarita

Fallen between the posters and my hand

If I dedicate my souls to santa

Exchange La Mancha’s grace for Disneyland

Working the service in the dark

Baby the saints re in our hearts

And these days life goes by so fast

All we have left are these moments that are ours

Description

Author: Story Teller

I now work primarily as a digital skills trainer, writer, researcher and assessor with organisations like AIM. My career has mostly been as a film editor and sometimes producer in commercials, film and documentaries in the US and the Near East. In music, I've had releases in film and mostly worked as a club music director and contracting producer for a 24-hour music festival. With the surprisingly warm reception of my book 'Ragamuffin's Tale: Growing up in counterculture', my interest is increasingly turning toward writing.
