The ‘Story Teller’ website – a revamped ‘alt-generations’ – has been restyled for the release of ‘Ragamuffin’s Tale’, my book which can be purchased from Amazon and also in ebook form (type set with pictures) from the the shop. In the shop you will also find assorted knick-knacks for sale like coloured rockstar type sunglasses, which I have always been fascinated with since I was a kid growing up amongst that circle of people.
In terms of original content and interviews for the site, a lot of the alt-generations content will remain. There will be additions, but the new content will be more about developments of digital arts in the creative sectors: film, writing, music and marketing.
The type of content I will be covering: roots of interactive theatre; creating an AR app for books; using AI to bring historical characters to life in books; creating interactive forking narrative in film to explore learning outcomes and, lastly, using digital data sensors to build a case for data. I will also, to some extent, explore the history and practice of different classical forms.
Apart from the book, for the new site I’ve created more of an emphasis on digital learning, which is what I’ve been working at, teaching and also assessing on AIMs Junior Content Producer and Broadcast certified courses. Much of that work has been for Digital Marketing Mentor and more recently AIM and WEA. These are Ofsted approved organisations which offer practical apprenticeship and portfolio development courses as an in-work alternative to the traditional route of degree accreditation.
The shop has undergone an interesting tech adaptation, allowing vendors, artists, teachers and writers to create their own independent, financially secure vendor sales and payment processing systems within our multi-vendor shop. To offer their own goods and services securely.
Training and courses are listed in the shop and are usually 5 weeks long:
